Marylou's Coffee - Sound & Vision Media Shoot

Sound and Vision Media is happy to announce that they will be creating new television commercials as well as new musical jingles for New England based, MaryLou’s Coffee.

These new television commercials are set for a November / December release date 2014. In the above seen photo, Matthew Thurber is assembling the exterior dolly and tracks, while director Mark Helms provides instructions for the cast of 4 actors in the initial shot of the day. Director Corey Nichols was also directing the interior and exterior shots at the two separate Marylou’s Coffee locations which followed soon after this shot.
The single day of shooting was approximately 12 hours in duration.

Marylou's Coffee - Sound & Vision Media Shoot

Focusing on the main subjects, the customers, in these Marylou’s Coffee television commercials, Boston Videographer, Matt Thurber, and director Mark Helms chose a bit of a wide angle for the shot of the approaching customers for a bit of a different look that would add to the comedic effect of these commercials. Matt Thurber is a stickler for detail in the field and will be be one of the main reasons for the future success of this continuing commercial campaign. Matthew Thurber is one of the most well known and respected directors of photography in the New England area. His shooting expertise is invaluable and is a major reason for the success of hundreds of SAV Media of Boston’s television commercials over the last 30 years.

Because daylight was such a concern for these Boston based television commercials, it was decided by the staff at Sound and Vision Media to shoot the close ups of the first set of primary actors during mid morning hours of 10 am and 12 pm, so that the sun could be used to SAV Media of Boston’s advantage. The resulting shots were perfectly lit and the execution of the acting skills by this talented young group of actors and Marylou’s Coffee employees was exemplary for this first set of Marylou’s Coffee television commercials. Directed by Mark Helms. Director of photography, Matthew Thurber.
