Last Saturday was anything but ordinary here at Sound and Vision Media.

The world-renowned actor, director and producer John Malkovich paid us a visit to record some amazing video segments for a soon-to-be released documentary film. Malkovich has appeared in more than 70 films, and has received Academy Award nominations for his roles in Places in the Heart and In the Line of Fire.

Mr. Malkovich was very specific regarding the type of studio, cameras, audio and lighting gear needed. John and his support staff wanted a large space with a green screen and a black background big enough to accommodate a three camera 4k shoot. Convenient access to Logan International Airport was a big plus!

We’re proud that we were able to make what the eminent actor had to say captivating to watch. Wondering how we achieved this? By thinking outside the box.

There were several, very unique facets to this shoot. Instead of just showing a straight on talking head, we used three different cameras simultaneously, which gave us plenty of content choices during the editing process. Every shot and his camera vantage points were designed to be visually interesting.  Multi cameras, tasteful movement and angles along with innovative editing, achieved our goal of pulling the viewer into the story throughout.

The final result is a video that makes the message three times more important and exciting to watch!
